Apply today and join a growing team dedicated to bringing an elevated level of care to the rapidly growing North Texas area! *Unit:* NICU *Work Status/Schedule:* PT/Varies | No set hours - Based on workload *Required Experience:* 5yr NICU RN experience *Preferred Experience:* Program Manager, Quality-focused roles, Charge RN, Supervisor/Manager, and/or Educator *JOB SUMMARY* The Neonatal Program Manager Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the provision of neonatal care services, with authority and responsibility to monitor the provision of patient care services from admission, stabilization, operative intervention(s) if applicable, through discharge, inclusive of the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Program. The Neonatal Program Manager collaborates with the designated Medical Director in areas to include but not limited to: developing and/or revising policies, procedures and guidelines; assuring staff competency, education, and training; the QAPI Program; and regularly participates in the neonatal or maternal QAPI meeting. Developing collaborative relationships with other NPM/MPM(s) of designated facilities within the applicable Perinatal Care Region. Coordinating all phases of the unit's program lifecycle, including: Analysis and Planning, Implementation; Testing; Education and Training; Productive Use; and Ongoing support and Quality Management. *ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE* Uses appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to inspire commitment, encourage involvement, and guide individuals toward organizational, departmental, and individual goal achievement. Provides regular updates as needed to the Patient Safety Councils, CMO's, Associate CMO's and Executive Directors. Collaborates with appropriate departments to develop effective marketing and communication plans. Maintains detailed documentation of program activities, including roadmaps, timelines, steering and sub-committee minutes, training tools, etc. Manages the day-to-day activities of the program to ensure its efficient operations. Ensures that services are provided in a timely, accurate, effective, and cost-efficient manner and in compliance with established policies, procedures, and practices. Establishes necessary area specific policies and procedures that support and advance objectives. Prepares timely and accurate financial, statistical, and/or tracking reports and interpretation as required. Ensures that appropriate records are created and maintained as required by regulatory policies and procedures. Assists directors with budget planning, scheduling and meeting planning. *KEY SUCCESS FACTORS* Knowledge and understanding of nursing and patient care standards and procedures. Knowledge of laws, rules and regulations; standards and guidelines of certifying and accrediting bodies; hospital and department/unit standards, protocols, policies and procedures governing the provision of nursing care applicable to the area of assignment. Knowledge of medical terminology; principles and practices of health promotion, risk reduction, illness and disease prevention and management; medications and drugs, common dosages, their physical and physiological effects, and possible adverse reactions. Knowledge of medical and professional nursing ethics and patient privacy rights. Must be able to communicate thoughts clearly, both verbally and in writing. Interpersonal skills to interact with a wide-range of constituencies. Must have critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to observe changes in the medical condition of patients and effectively communicate these changes to other nursing staff members and physicians/providers. Ability to provide age-specific, quality, patient-centered care to all patients through the nursing process and standards of nursing practice with sensitivity and respect for the diversity of human experience and to develop, evaluate, implement and, as necessary, modify a patient care plan to meet the needs of individual patients. General computer skills, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office, information security, scheduling and payroll systems, electronic medical documentation, and email. Managerial, clinical and/or technical program support or management experience required. Master's degree preferred. *BENEFITS* Our competitive benefits package includes the following - Immediate eligibility for health and welfare benefits - 401(k) savings plan with dollar-for-dollar match up to 5% - Tuition Reimbursement - PTO accrual beginning Day 1 Note: Benefits may vary based upon position type and/or level *QUALIFICATIONS* - EDUCATION - *Bachelor's in Nursing* or higher - CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - *Registered Nurse (RN)* - EXPERIENCE: -*Minimum of five (5) years of NICU Registered Nurse experience.* -*Prior experience in one or more of the following roles is preferred:* Program Manager, Quality-focused roles, Charge RN, Supervisor/Manager, and/or Educator. -*Prior designation experience is preferred.* -*Exceptional chart review, organizational, and communication skills are required.* The Program Manager is responsible for reviewing *100% of charts within the NICU*. This role involves reviewing, organizing, extracting, and analyzing data; developing action plans; celebrating wins; and leading unit-based drills. The individual will routinely compile and synthesize data into spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, charts, and dashboards, and present findings to NICU staff, physicians, and/or hospital-wide audiences. While there is strong support available for data acquisition, the Program Manager will take the lead in determining how the data is interpreted, acted upon, and most effectively presented. -*Highly self-sufficient and self-motivated*, with a strong focus on the quality side of the program. This role is future-oriented, centered on building and shaping today's program to achieve where it is intended to be tomorrow.
