Description
Children’s Mercy Kansas City is seeking a board-eligible/certified child neurologist with epilepsy/clinical neurophysiology training to join a growing group of 21 faculty in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neurology, with 4.5 epileptologists and 14 Nurse Practitioners.

Level IV comprehensive pediatric epilepsy center with four pediatric neurosurgeons and a 12-bed EMU
Large ketogenic diet programs with an affiliated chef
Active Epilepsy surgery program utilizing both stereotactic (ROSA) and conventional grids ECOG
Active Intra-Operative-Monitoring (IOM) program
Neuropsychology program dedicated to the epilepsy center
Active VNS/Neuromodulation program

Comprehensive Headache program, including a headache relief clinic where treatment is tailored to each patient using novel approaches such as acupuncture, biofeedback and in-clinic DHE infusions
Pediatric Tourette Center of Excellence, designated by the Tourette Association of America
Successful pediatric DBS program within a growing movement disorder program
Numerous subspecialty multidisciplinary programs, including neonatal neurology, pediatric stroke, neuro-immunology, TS/NF, Dravet syndrome, Angelman syndrome, mitochondrial disorders and spasticity
Research collaborations with our Genomic Medicine Center and the Division of Clinical Pharmacology, Toxicology and Therapeutic Innovation
Robust pediatric resident and fellowship programs, including a child neurology residency, clinical neurophysiology, headache, and neuropsychology fellowships
The successful candidate should be a board-eligible or board-certified child neurologist with advanced training in epilepsy or clinical neurophysiology and a strong commitment to excellence in pediatric epilepsy care. The ideal applicant will value collaboration within a large, multidisciplinary team and contribute to the continued growth of our Level IV Pediatric Epilepsy Center.
