Description
The Texas A&M University Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy invites nominations and applications for a faculty position in Social and Administrative Pharmacy in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. This is an 11-month, tenure-track/tenure review upon hire position in College Station, TX. Faculty rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities would include developing and maintaining a sustainable and extramurally-funded research program and making significant contributions to research in the department related to one or multiple broader areas, including pharmacoepidemiology, utilization and cost of medication and other health care services, sociobehavioral aspects of patient care and health outcomes, and related research areas.
Additional responsibilities include teaching/assisting in the delivery of the College of Pharmacy’s PharmD and/or PhD in pharmaceutical sciences programs (e.g., pharmacy management and pharmacoepidemiology and public health), mentoring and advising of students and postdocs, and contributing to establishing a positive, supportive, and collaborative environment. Current research areas in the department with potential for collaboration includes: pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacoeconomics, drug delivery and formulations, cardiovascular, diabetes, oncology, and infectious diseases.
There are ample opportunities to engage in collaborative research, conduct applied and contract research, and contribute to enhancing the research portfolio and the service mission of the Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy and Texas A&M University. The recruited faculty member will be provided with a competitive start-up package, and the start date is negotiable.

Requirements
Candidates should have earned a Ph.D. degree in Social and Administrative Pharmacy or a related social science/health discipline, have an active/productive research program with a documented track record of externally funded grants, commensurate with the rank applied for. The position provides opportunities for individuals with a strong commitment to an academic career with emphasis on research, instruction, and service. The successful candidate should have excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Candidates with a track record of effective scholarship, funding, previous teaching experience and research interests that complement the strengths of the Texas A&M Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy will be given preference.
