Journey Home Program Manager – LSB Women’s Center

As the largest homeless shelter in Tarrant County, we serve approximately 1,000 men, women and children each night.

Job Summary
Overall responsibility for the Women’s Shelter of the Presbyterian Night Shelter including case management, coordination of guest services personnel, and building security and cleanliness. Responsible for supervising all aspects of the Women’s Shelter including case management, shelter intake, bed assignments, vocational assignments, and other services to help guests quickly exit homelessness. Directly supervises Journey Home Guides and Journey Home Advocates. Provides oversite to Journey Home Guest Coordinator. Responsible for scheduling Journey Home Guides and Journey Home Advocates and filling shifts in the event of call outs. Responsible for approving suspension requests and participating in reconsideration meetings. Responsible for ensuring guests are enrolled in program and vocational services; responsible for ensuring collection of Women’s Shelter program fees. Responsible for ensuring smooth operations of HMIS data entry, intake processes, and overnight sleeping arrangements in the Women’s Shelter. Also responsible for coordinating ancillary services within the shelter setting such as AA/NA groups, support groups, medical services, public health services, mental health services, and others. As a member of management, support administrative leadership team including other Journey Home Program Managers and Directors, Vice Presidents of Programs, Finance, Development, and Human Resources, and the Chief Executive Officer.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in social service or related field required, Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of two years supervisory experience in residential environment required.
Must have experience with homeless or transient population and/or residential population experiencing substance abuse disorders or mental illness.
Must be able to remain calm under high stress and communicate effectively with guests, staff and volunteers.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
Valid driver license and proof of liability insurance is required.
Rate of Pay
$55K to $65K annually (based on experience)
